Learning in the age of coronavirus
I feel like the school should act more towards our safety towards our health and make something like everyone has to use hand sanitizer and limit physical contact. Closing the school may seem like something everyone wants but it wouldn't be good. We wouldn't have help and someone to explain specifically what you need help on and even if they give out packets they won't help that much if you don't know what your doing.

Preview of Gatsby Essay
In the Great Gatsby the last lines of the book say "So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past." I think that this line embodies the thematic conflict that defines The Great Gatsby because its all about how Gatsby was trying to relive the past. This line makes the theme of the book clear and the message he is trying to give to the reader.
Cue Theme music
I think that the central message of The Great Gatsby is about how you shouldn't live in the past and can't regain something that is lost. I think that this is the central message because in the book it talks about how Gatsby just wants to get back his old love and does anything to get it, he eventually dies because of this. He was trying to make everything like it was in the past but he got nothing because you can't make someone love you or relive the past.

Whats so great about Gatsby
1. I think that Gatsby is a decent person because he did all of what he did for someone he loved and cared about. I also think that he is living in the past and that he needs to change and think more about himself and not just daisy first.
2. I think that nick is an honest person and I think that he shows is at the end of the book because he goes to Gatsby's funeral and tries to get some other people to go. I think that Nick hangs out with dishonest people because he might think that maybe they will change or maybe he just likes how they are. He respects them because he might think that they are good at what they are doing.
3. Fitzgerald describes Tom and Daisy as two characters that just protect and care about themselves and nobody else. I do agree because Tom tries to tell Nick that he wasn't the bad guy and just did it to save himself.
4. I don't understand Daisy's behavior because she was indecisive and just wanted to do things that made her happy and doesn't think about anyone else. I do not agree with what she is doing because she doesn't care what happens to anyone and what just cares about saving herself. She is not a girl that I would let my friend date because she would only want the best for her and not for both of them, she would only use his to get what she wants.
5. I think that last line of the book means that you shouldn't try and recreate the past or bring it back because you will lose like rowing against the current.
